Layoff Coaching and Consulting

Welcome to the coaching journey

“It’s going to be okay. You’ve gotten through worse times and you’ve even grown and benefited from some of them. You’ll get through this too, and one day, you may be grateful for the blessings in disguise you can’t yet recognize.” Lori Deschene

Not all layoffs are the same; each one is unique. Everyone has their own experiences and perspectives on how a layoff feels, what it looks like, how to navigate it, and how to move forward afterward. You will get through this. There is no specific timeline you need to follow, and there is no right or wrong way to handle it. It's all about what works best for you.

Regrettably, layoffs are often unavoidable. The goal is to handle these situations with compassion, empathy, grace, and kindness, reflecting the human-centered aspect of work. After a layoff, several groups are affected: those who are laid off, those who remain with the company, those overseeing the layoffs, and the organization itself. The impacts and aftermath vary for each group involved.

Layoff Coaching

If you’ve experienced a layoff, layoff coaching can guide you through your transition and transformation journey. It helps you prepare emotionally, mentally, and financially for a confident job search. With the right tools and resources, you can set yourself up for success and land the want-to job rather than a have-to job.

How we can work together:

  • Support you during your transition and transformation after a layoff.

  • Reframe the situation to view the layoff as an opportunity for

    exploration and growth.

  • Assist you in managing your mindset and emotions after the layoff.

  • Help you create a clear path forward for your next role.

  • Build your confidence as you pursue the opportunities you seek.

  • Provide the tools and resources you need for the A-Z of job searching.

Layoff Consulting

Based on news reports and our own experiences, it's clear that companies need to improve and foster a compassionate culture around layoffs. While layoffs are sometimes unavoidable and will continue to occur, they should be conducted to prioritize humanity. This means caring for those directly affected by the layoffs and those who remain with the company.

Drawing from my own experience of being laid off, my work with clients, and my understanding of the effects of layoffs, I can offer my expertise, knowledge, and insights to assist companies in preparing for and executing compassionate layoffs.

How I can help:

  • Help create and execute a compassionate layoff framework: a step-by-step guide from beginning, middle, end, and after.

  • Support those who are conducting the layoff.

  • Provide tips, tools, and resources.

Let’s Work Together

Together, we can establish a space to share, explore, learn, and navigate this transition and transformation journey.
